Contact form and email
When you write to me through the form I collect your name, email and — if you fill them in — phone, business name and your message. The form emails them to me; they are not stored in a database on the site.
I use them only to reply and, if we work together, to prepare and manage the work. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)). Name, email and message are needed for me to reply; the rest is optional.
I keep the correspondence for as long as needed to reply and, if you become a client, for the length of our relationship and the period Italian law requires for tax records (10 years).
Google Analytics (only with your consent)
If you click Accept in the banner, the site loads Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. If you reject, or don't choose, Google Analytics is not loaded and nothing is sent to Google.
Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)). Provider: Google Ireland Ltd, which may transfer data to Google LLC in the United States; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Analytics data is kept for at most 14 months. I don't use Analytics for advertising or link it to other Google services.
You can change your mind at any time: (the link is also at the bottom of every page). If you withdraw consent, the Analytics cookies are deleted.
Cookies and browser storage
What the site stores on your device:
- sp-consent (browser local storage) — remembers whether you accepted or rejected, for 6 months. Strictly necessary, no consent required.
- _ga, _ga_* (Google Analytics cookies) — only if you accept. They tell visitors apart pseudonymously; last up to 2 years, deleted if you withdraw consent.
No profiling or advertising cookies. Fonts and images are hosted on the site itself, not on outside services.
Hosting and server logs
Like every website, the server automatically logs technical details of each request (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser) for security and operation. The hosting provider processes them on my behalf and keeps them only as long as strictly necessary. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site secure (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
External links
The site links to WhatsApp, LinkedIn and client websites. If you open them, those services' own policies apply; nothing is sent from here until you click.
Who I share data with
No one, except the providers needed to run the site and email (hosting, mail) and — only with your consent — Google for Analytics. I never sell or hand data to third parties.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a portable format (GDPR arts. 15–22), and withdraw consent without any consequence. Just email ciao@scottporco.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
